Prosecutors say Bennett called police Tuesday and made threads toward Citrus College in Glendora, 30 miles east of Los Angeles.

The threat sparked a lockdown that lasted more than six hours as students and staff barricaded in classrooms.

Police later arrested Bennett inside a campus building without incident. Police said he may have been trying to commit suicide by cop.

Prosecutors are asking Bennett’s bail to be set at $500,000. He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of the charges.
