BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Former U.S. Sen. Heidi Heitkamp has secured roles at Harvard and with CNBC.
The North Dakota Democrat has been named one of four Visiting Fellows by the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School. She and former National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn will co-host a weekly discussion on the state of the economy called “The Real State of the Union.”
Heitkamp also has joined CNBC as a political commentator. CNBC is part of the broadcast group that owns NBC and MSNBC.
Heitkamp lost her Senate seat to then-U.S. Rep. Kevin Cramer in November in a race that helped the GOP expand its control of the Senate. She tells KFGO radio that she has no plans to run for governor next year.
