NEW YORK (AP) - Police say two people were killed when their speeding minivan struck a light pole and overturned in Queens.

It happened at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday on South Conduit Avenue near 134th Street.

Police say the driver of the 2006 Dodge Caravan, 28-year-old Joseph Pellot of Brooklyn, and an unidentified passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene.
