HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Hartford police say they have made an arrest in the city’s first homicide of 2019.
Police said Monday that 45-year-old John Bolton has been charged with murder in the death of 29-year-old Carl Spence.
WVIT-TV reports that Spence was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the basement of a building on Laurel Street on Jan. 8.
Spence, a city resident, was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Bolton was also charged with criminal use of a firearm and criminal possession of a firearm. He is being held on a $1 million bond pending a Tuesday court appearance. It could not be determined if he had a lawyer.
