LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police are investigating after a homeless man was found stabbed to death inside his tent.

Authorities say a friend of the victim who had been letting him stay in her backyard for the past two months found him Sunday night.

She says her dogs went into the yard and acted suspicious around his tent.

She found him when she looked inside and immediately called 911.

Paramedics pronounced the man, who is believed to be in his 40s, dead at the scene.

Investigators say he had multiple stab wounds. They are searching for potential witnesses or surveillance video to identify a possible suspect.

His body has been turned over to the coroner’s office.
