CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A driver who initially was charged with aggravated drunken driving after a crash that killed a young woman in Loudon now faces a negligent homicide charge.
The Concord Monitor reports that prosecutors recently decided to move forward with the more serious charge accusing 27-year-old Maggie Doorlag, of Concord, of causing the June 23 crash that killed 22-year-old Angelica Lane.
Police say Lane was stopped in the northbound lane waiting to turn into her driveway when her car was rear-ended and pushed into oncoming traffic.
Doorlag pleaded not guilty last week. Her attorney, Mark Sisti, on Monday called the case “absolutely tragic” and said he looks forward to reviewing toxicology reports and other evidence that has not yet been provided to his client.
