PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a man was held up at gunpoint and robbed of $100,000 he had just received after cashing a check in Philadelphia.
A police spokeswoman says the 44-year-old man got into a work van Tuesday morning after receiving the money from a check cashing establishment in south Philadelphia.
Police say a white van crashed into the man’s work van just after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, and as he got out to exchange information with the other driver two men pointed a gun at him and demanded the money.
Police said one of them grabbed the money and fled west in the white van. No arrests were immediately announced.
