OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say two people were injured by an apartment fire in north Omaha.
Firefighters rescued one person trapped in the second-floor apartment early Monday morning. A resident of a nearby apartment suffered smoke inhalation. Both were taken to Nebraska Medical Center.
The names of the injured women haven’t been released.
Investigators blame the fire on food being left cooking atop the stove.
