EAST COCALICO, Pa. (AP) - A single-vehicle crash in northeastern Pennsylvania has left two people dead.

The crash in East Cocalico occurred around 11:45 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities say a 53-year-old man who was driving the vehicle apparently failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and then struck a fence and large tree. The driver and his 29-year-old female passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, though authorities say speed appears to have been a factor. The names of the two people killed have not been released.
