HOWLAND, Maine (AP) - Maine State Police say a person was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in a small town north of Bangor.

Police say the crash took place Wednesday afternoon on the northbound side of the highway in Howland. They have not identified the name of the victim.

The crash necessitated closure of one of the two northbound lanes as troopers investigated. Both lanes reopened later Wednesday.
