TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson-area man accused of killing his wife and daughter last year and attempting to kill his teenage son has pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
Pima County prosecutors say Hernando Enriquez is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 19.
The Arizona Daily Star reports that the two parties stipulated Enriquez will be sentenced to life in prison and won’t be released on any basis until he completes 25 years.
Enriquez is accused of killing his 43-year-old wife Sandra Enriquez and his 15-year-old daughter Isabelle Enriquez at their Vail home in February 2018.
Authorities say Enrique’s 17-year-old son was hit with a hammer, but he was able to get away and run to a neighbor’s house for help.
