CORINNE, Utah (AP) - Police are calling the death of a teenager found in a northern Utah park suspicious.

The Standard-Examiner reports the body of 16-year-old Marcus Elkins of Corinne was found in a park in his hometown Thursday morning.

The Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office says investigators suspect Elkins did not die at Bill Flack Park, but was brought there after he died.

Authorities did not immediately say how he died, but said his body had no signs of external trauma.

Chief Deputy Dale Ward says the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy.

Investigators say they believe other juveniles may have “firsthand knowledge” of the case.
