SHELOCTA, Pa. (AP) - A western Pennsylvania man has died after his carport collapsed on him.
The Indiana County coroner says 52-year-old Richard Rearick was sitting outside his Shelocta home on Saturday when the carport fell at the point where the roof was attached to the house. The coroner says Rearick’s mother was inside the home when she said she heard a loud cracking sound and then a loud “kaboom.”
The coroner says Rearick sustained a cervical fracture.
