Police search for man in attack on woman in Seattle suburb

RENTON, Wash. (AP) - Police are searching for a man accused of beating and raping a woman in a Seattle suburb.

KCPQ-TV reports the 31-year-old woman was attacked last week after she was lured to a secluded area near the library in downtown Renton.

Renton police say an officer heard the woman’s personal alarm and found her severely injured.

Police say the man was caught on camera the next day disposing of the woman’s cellphone at a nearby grocery store.

Authorities are asking people with information on the attack to contact the Renton Police Department.
