PEMBERTON, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say firefighters responding to a New Jersey fire found two people with stab wounds.

WPVI—TV reports that crews in Burlington County were called to a Pemberton home at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Fire crews said the blaze was spreading in the back of a 2½-story home and was brought under control in about 20 minutes.

But officials said two people found with stab wounds were taken to a hospital. There was no immediate word on their condition. Police haven’t said whether they are looking for a suspect.
