2 men wanted in shooting death at Meadow Lake

MEADOW LAKE, N.M. (AP) - Valencia County sheriff’s deputies are searching for two men in connection with a deadly shooting in Meadow Lake.

KRQE-TV in Albuquerque reports authorities say 32-year-old Jesus Garcia and 24-year-old Alexandro Montelongo Murillo were wanted Monday for several charges including murder.

According to deputies, both men were initially taken into custody after the Saturday night shooting. But they were later released because of a lack of probable cause.

Investigators say they since obtained enough evidence to issue warrants for them.

Deputies were called to Meadow Lake and found Daniel Sandoval with multiple gunshot wounds. He later died at a hospital.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the two suspects is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
