NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a New York City taxi driver is dead after he suffered a medical episode and crashed into a pole.
Police say 62-year-old Ilya Sukholinskyv crashed his yellow taxi into a light pole on Kings Highway in Brooklyn at about 11 p.m. Sunday.
He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No pedestrians or other vehicles were hit.
It’s not known if the cabbie died from the apparent medical episode or from the crash. Police are investigating.
