President Trump took another opportunity to size up the Democratic primary field Friday, debuting a new addition to his nickname for former Vice President Joseph R. Biden.

“Looks to me like it’s going to be SleepyCreepy Joe over Crazy Bernie. Everyone else is fading fast,” the president tweeted.

The president dubbed Mr. Biden “Sleepy Joe” even before he entered the race.

Mr. Trump said in late April that people wanted him to change “sleepy” to a word that rhymes, but the president said that was “too nasty.” Many thought that word could have been “creepy.”

This nickname likely refers to controversy Mr. Biden faced prior to entering the race of engaging in contact with women that many deemed as uncomfortable.

In the latest poll done by The Hill, Mr. Biden led the pack with 46 percent support followed by Sen. Bernard Sanders of Vermont at 14 percent.

The next highest placement, South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, came in at 8 percent.

Whoever wins will face Mr. Trump in the 2020 general presidential election.
