ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) - Officials say three juveniles are facing charges after a body was discovered in a St. Joseph home destroyed by fire.

The body was found in late April in a home that burned in a fire in February.

The St. Joseph News-Press reports the suspects are three males ages 10, 11 and 15. Juvenile officials say two of them are charged with felony arson and abandonment of a corpse, while the other is charged with abandonment of a corpse.

Linda Meyer, chief juvenile officer Buchanan County, said only the 15-year-old could potentially be charged as an adult but that decision hasn’t been made.

Officials have not released the age, sex or identity of the body, or information on a cause of death.
