WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts man has been arrested on aggravated assault and weapons charges in connection with a death.

Police arrested 38-year-old Tony Joseph Sacco, of Shrewsbury, last week in connection with the death of 58-year-old John P. Riordan Jr.

Riordan’s body was found inside his Worcester apartment last Wednesday.

Court records say Sacco was in Riordan’s apartment prior to his death and Sacco told detectives he kicked Riordan in the face and ribs.

An autopsy was performed and the cause of death has yet to be released.

It was not clear if Sacco had hired an attorney.
