BURLINGTON CITY, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a dispute between two people who shared a southern New Jersey home ended with one man fatally stabbed and the other facing murder charges.

Burlington County prosecutors say 49-year-old Arthur Ayala also faces weapons counts in the death of 37-year-old Alfred Hanna, whose body was found around 3 p.m. Monday at the Burlington City home.

Authorities have not said what sparked the dispute between the two men. They say Hanna was stabbed multiple times, and the knife used in the attack has been recovered.

No other injuries were reported in the incident.

It wasn’t known Thursday if Ayala has retained an attorney.
