TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Tucson have released the name of a homicide victim whose body was found April 25 in the Pantano Wash on the city’s east side.
A woman walking her dog spotted the body and called 911.
Police say the victim has been identified as 80-year-old Michael McCullough.
They say detectives received a tip about a possible suspect in the case and 18-year-old Kenneth Boyd was apprehended on April 28 about a mile (1.6 kilometers) away from the site of the homicide.
Police won’t disclose how Boyd is linked to the death.
They say Boyd remains jailed on a $1 million bond on suspicion of first-degree murder and armed robbery.
It’s unclear if Boyd has a lawyer yet who can speak on his behalf.
