Rob Gronkowski teased a “big announcement.” It wasn’t what Patriots fans wanted. 

The former Pro Bowl tight end announced Tuesday he’ll be hosting a Super Bowl party in Miami — not a return to the NFL. 

On Sunday, Gronkowski posted a cryptic video teasing news, leading others to speculate on whether the 30-year-old would be ending his retirement.

Gronkowski stepped away from football in the offseason, though his return has been consistently discussed since then. According to NFL reporter Dov Klienman, the tight end has until Nov. 30 to inform the Patriots if he wants to play this season.

In a video announcing the party, Gronkowski even poked fun at the idea of coming back to the NFL:
