BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut Superior Court judge has denied a request by Bridgeport officials to dismiss a lawsuit by three voters over an alleged miscount in the Democratic mayoral primary.

Mayor Joe Ganim lost to state Sen. Marilyn Moore on the machine vote but won the absentee vote with a 3-to-1 margin.

Trumbull lawyer Prerna Rao says she plans to call almost a dozen witnesses to testify on inconsistencies in voting.

The three voters, Beth Lazar, Annette Goodridge and Vanessa Liles, are among the people named in the lawsuit who claim to have discovered several violations in the absentee balloting.
