POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) - Police in upstate New York are investigating a case involving a missing man and a dead woman whose body was found in a vehicle at a state park on the Hudson River.

A son of George Grogan reportedly told police Friday night that Grogan told him he had killed the son’s mother, Audrey Grogan.

Police say they responded to Grogan’s Poughkeepsie residence but nobody was inside. They also obtained information which showed Grogan may be a danger to himself.

A woman’s body was reportedly found at Bear Mountain State Park Saturday night in a vehicle believed to have been operated by Grogan. Police have not yet released the woman’s identity.

Grogan is still missing. Police say he doesn’t pose a threat to the public.
