CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Authorities in New Hampshire say a man who was shot and injured by officers during a standoff in Nashua has been accused of making threats with a deadly weapon.
The attorney general’s office says police responded to a home on Sept. 19 regarding a complaint that 59-year-old William Case had threatened a neighbor with a gun. Nashua Police Officer John Colangelo fired his weapon at Case, wounding him in the torso. Officer Mathew Foss fired a bean bag round at Case that also hit him in the torso.
Case was brought to a hospital in Boston, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Case remained hospitalized Tuesday for unrelated issues.
A warrant was issued for Case’s arrest on the threatening charge. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.
