Notable sports entertainment announcer Michael Buffer got the fans at Nationals Park all fired up before Game 3 on Monday in the National League Championship Series between the Washington Nationals and St. Louis Cardinals.

“Let’s get ready to rumble!” was the trademark cry from Buffer before the first pitch.

The stadium appeared to be nearly full as Stephen Strasburg of the Nationals threw the first pitch at 7:39 p.m. with the game-time temperature of 71 degrees. Parker Staples of Make-A-Wish Foundation threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The Nationals are attempting to be the first Washington team to make the World Series since 1933. Washington leads the best-of-seven series 2-0 after a pair of wins in St. Louis this past weekend.

Mystics MVP Elena Delle Donne is slated to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 4 on Tuesday. Washington manager Dave Martinez congratulated the Mystics on the WNBA title before the game.
