ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A 53-year-old man is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder and manslaughter in a death at his home.

Anchorage police detectives on Thursday arrested Gilbert Dugaqua. Online court documents do not list his attorney.

Police say Dugaqua at about 12:14 a.m. called police to report a disturbance in his home on east 45th Avenue near Denali Street. He reported that someone was badly injured.

Arriving officers found a man dead and a woman with serious injuries. Police say her injuries are not life-threatening.

Detectives determined that Dugaqua assaulted the man in the upper body. They say the circumstances surrounding the woman’s injuries are being investigated.

Alcohol is a factor in the case.

The name of the man killed has not been released because his next-of-kin has not been notified.
