PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Authorities continue to look for the suspect in a fatal stabbing inside a Rhode Island hookah lounge.
The victim of the stabbing late Wednesday night at the Nara Lounge in Providence was identified Thursday as 46-year-old Troy Pine, of Providence.
Police say a confrontation between two men inside the bar led to the stabbing.
The victim went outside after the stabbing while the suspect fled through another door. Pine was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An attorney for the club’s owners, Nick Hemond, says surveillance video captured the stabbing. He says the owners are “very broke up” about the stabbing because Pine was a regular and a friend.
The death is the city’s 12th homicide of the year, and second in less than a week.
