Robert Gronkowski may not be playing football this fall, but he will soon be talking about it.

Fox Sports announced Tuesday the former Patriots tight end is joining the network as an NFL analyst. Gronkowski, who retired in the offseason, will appear across the network’s programming, starting this week’s “Thursday Night Football” matchup between the New York Giants and the Patriots.

In a statement, Gronkowski said he is “extremely excited” for his new role.

Regarded as the best tight end of his generation, Gronkowski won three Super Bowls as a player and made the Pro Bowl five times.
