NEW YORK (AP) - A 36-year-old karate instructor in Queens is being accused of fondling and raping one of his preteen students.
Hector Quinchi was arrested on rape and endangering the welfare of a child charges. Information on his lawyer wasn’t immediately available.
Prosecutors say the alleged sexual contact happened between Aug. 15 and Oct. 5. at Hugo’s Tae Kwon Do studio in Sunnyside where the 12-year-old victim took karate lessons.
If convicted, Quinchi faces up to 25 years in prison.
