MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man who accidentally shot his best friend to friend to death in 2011 is going back to prison after a parole violation.

Christopher Bazar had pleaded guilty to manslaughter in shooting Donald St. Laurent at the apartment they shared in Hudson. Prosecutors said Bazar was drunk and high at the time. He served several years in prison and was paroled in 2014. He was released into the care of St. Laurent’s family, who gave him a home and a job.

WMUR-TV reports Bazar was arrested this year on a charge of drunken driving.
