TICONDEROGA, N.Y. (AP) - A 39-year-old man has admitted shooting a friend in the head and throwing his body in a northern New York river with the help of his father and another man.
The Post-Star of Glens Falls reports Michael LaRock of Ticonderoga pleaded guilty late Thursday to second-degree murder for shooting 37-year-old William Brown last December. Brown’s body was found in the LaChute River in Ticonderoga.
LaRock’s father, 63-year-old Donald LaRock, and 35-year-old Joshua Smith pleaded guilty to felony charges for helping get rid of the body.
Prosecutors say no motive has been determined.
The men will be sentenced on Nov. 7. Michael LaRock agreed to serve 25 years to life in state prison for murder.
