COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A sheriff’s deputy and a civilian have been injured in a collision northeast of Colorado Springs.
KOAA-TV reports the collision occurred Sunday on U.S. 24 about 19 miles (30 kilometers) from downtown Colorado Springs. The patrol says an eastbound sedan crossed into the westbound lanes and collided with the deputy’s vehicle.
Authorities say the sedan driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The Colorado State Patrol says the deputy is believed to have suffered minor injuries.
