CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A man and woman were killed, and two boys seriously injured, in a shooting suspected to be linked to illegal drugs, police said Tuesday. A suspect was arrested.

Adrien Butler, 37, and Shaline Wymer, 30, both of Cheyenne, were found dead of gunshot wounds Monday afternoon, Cheyenne police said.

The 14-year-old children, whose names weren’t released, had life-threatening injuries. The four victims weren’t related, police said.

Previous calls to the small home on Cheyenne’s east side led authorities to suspect a drug connection, police spokesman Kevin Malatesta said.

Police arrested Andrew Weaver, 25, of Cheyenne, a couple of hours after the shooting. Police and Wyoming Highway Patrol officers spotted Weaver in a nearby field and he surrendered, police said. No criminal charges were immediately filed.

Possible charges Weaver faced included first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, misdemeanor theft and possession of a controlled substance, police said.

There was no immediate information on whether Weaver had an attorney.
