EVERETT, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say a New Hampshire man has agreed to return to Massachusetts to face charges in connection with a fatal weekend shooting at a hookah lounge.

A spokeswoman for the Middlesex district attorney says 29-year-old Charles Demos, of Rochester, New Hampshire, was arrested Sunday in Seabrook in connection with the shooting at about 1 a.m. Saturday outside the Karma Lounge in Everett. Officials said they traced Demos to his parents’ house.

The victim was identified as 47-year-old Jarrod Harris, of Everett.

Authorities say it appears Demos shot Harris twice during an altercation as they were leaving the bar.

Demos appeared Monday via video to face a fugitive from justice charge in New Hampshire. He’ll be arraigned in Massachusetts on murder and other charges at a future date.
