WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Marshals Service is offering $20,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of killing a 10-year-girl who was headed out for ice cream.

WTOP-FM reports the marshals service on Friday announced the reward for information on Isaiah Murchison, one of 11 people charged in the slaying of Makiyah Wilson.

Makiyah was killed last summer while walking through the crowded courtyard of her Washington, D.C., apartment complex. Authorities have said four masked men jumped out of a car and fired indiscriminately into the crowd, killing Makiyah and wounding several others.

Murchison is wanted on a charge of first-degree murder in Makiyah’s death. His brother, Antonio Murchison, and the others accused in the crime are already in custody. Court records say trials may start next year.
