UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - A Maryland woman has pleaded guilty in the deaths of six people - five of them children - from a February one-car wreck.
The State Attorney’s Office in Prince George’s County said in a release that 33-year-old Dominique R. Taylor of Bowie pleaded guilty on Friday in Circuit Court to six counts of motor vehicle manslaughter. State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy says Taylor faces up to 30 years in prison, with sentencing set for Jan. 13.
Prosecutors say Taylor was driving along Route 301 when she lost control and swerved into trees. An investigation found she was driving with twice the legal blood alcohol level in her system.
The children who died - age 5 to 15 - included Taylor’s children and her relatives. An adult passenger died later from injuries.
