LOWELL, Mass. (AP) - Authorities continue to search for a suspect in the weekend beating death of a man in Lowell.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Kelly Richardson are asking for the public’s help locating 53-year-old Anthony Massetti in connection with the death of a 51-year-old man.

The victim was found on the floor of a Lowell home at about 5 p.m. Saturday. The medical examiner determined that the cause of death was blunt force injuries and ruled the death a homicide.

Police say Massetti knew the victim and had been at the home before the body was found. Investigators think Massetti struck the victim during an altercation. The victim’s name wasn’t released.

Massetti has access to guns and should be considered armed and dangerous.
