EAGLE, Alaska (AP) - A 35-year-old Eagle man is in custody on suspicion of second-degree murder.

Alaska State Troopers say Michael Stevens was held on Saturday in the stabbing death in Eagle of 41-year-old Mickey Roberts of Fairbanks.

Online court documents do not list Stevens’ attorney. He is jailed in Fairbanks.

Troopers say Roberts suffered multiple stab wounds.

Eagle is on the Yukon River 6 miles (9.7 kilometers) from the Canada border.
