PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a Phoenix police officer only suffered minor injuries after being struck by a distracted driver.

The incident happened as the officer was directing traffic in a neighborhood Monday around 7:30 a.m.

Police say the driver stayed at the scene.



The driver did not show any signs of impairment.

It was not immediately known if the driver would be cited.
