COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina authorities have identified two people found shot to death in a Northeast Columbia home.
The State reports Richland County Coroner Gary Watts identified the deceased as 45-year-old Christina Martin, who was found Friday shot in the head at her home in the Summit neighborhood. Watts says they also found 46-year-old Anthony Kennedy, of Winnsboro, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Richland County sheriff’s deputies were called to the house at 6:15 a.m. after a person reported that shots were fired. When deputies arrived they found the two dead.
Watts ruled the deaths a murder-suicide later Friday. However, he says the coroner’s office and sheriff’s department are still investigating.
