GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - A 15-year-old Delaware boy is accused of threatening to bring a gun to school.

Citing a state police statement, news outlets report the 15-year-old Sussex Technical High School student was arrested Saturday and charged with felony terroristic threatening. Police say school officials contacted authorities Friday to report the teen.

Police say a subsequent investigation determined the teen had gotten into an altercation that day and made “implicit slang remarks” that translated to the threat. Authorities didn’t immediately provide further detail on the nature of the altercation or the teen’s original remarks.

The teen was placed in a youth detention center and given a $5,000 cash bond. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer who can comment on his behalf.
