ROCKINGHAM, Vt. (AP) - A grease fire that started on a porch destroyed a home in Vermont, displacing at least eight family members.
Kimberly Brough was grilling chicken when the grease caught fire at her Rockingham home Tuesday afternoon, the Brattleboro Reformer reported. No one was injured.
Brough said she quickly got her four children, all under age 8, out of the two-story home, which her husband’s parents own.
One of the family’s five dogs is missing. Their three cats are also missing after the fire.
