SAUCIER, Miss. (AP) - Six dogs have died in a house fire in south Mississippi.

Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan told news outlets that a couple woke up early Sunday and their mobile home in Saucier was in flames.

The couple escaped with two of their pet dogs, but they were overcome by heat and smoke and could not get the other six.

Sullivan said an electrical problem might have started the fire, but that remains under investigation.
