ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina police department is offering a $1,500 reward in connection with a fatal shooting.

The Asheville Police Department said in a news release on Monday that it is looking for Dajour Johahaun McDay, 21, and Sherwayne Akeen Bascom, 29, who are both charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Adrian Terrell Smith, 29.

Officers received a report of a person suffering from a gunshot wound at Pisgah View apartments around 11:20 p.m. on April 3, police said. When officers arrived, they found two victims inside an apartment. Smith died at the scene, and a second person was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, according to police.

Police have already arrested Tyran Dewayne Burton and filed multiple charges against him. Burton is jailed on a $250,000 secured bond, and it’s not known if he has an attorney.
