On the floor of AUSA 2026, National Security Editor Guy Taylor talks with Powerus co-founder and President Brett Velicovich about the company’s new Guardian 3 drone interceptor.
Velicovich says the system can cue off U.S. military radar and launch automatically, flies 217 mph, and costs under $10,000 per unit.
The interview comes as the Army and Pentagon push to field more drone and counter-drone technology built on American supply chains. Velicovich also explains how his years of work in Ukraine shaped the company’s approach to building interceptors at scale.
