YAZOO CITY, Miss. (AP) - A body found in the Big Black River has been identified as a Mississippi man who had been missing since February.
Yazoo County Coroner Rickey Shivers says an autopsy will be done on 36-year-old Phillip Dunn.
WLBT-TV reports that a fisherman called police Sunday after finding the body tangled up in limbs in the river near state Highway 16.
Yazoo County Sheriff Jacob Sheriff says his department is investigating the case as a possible homicide.
Dunn’s car was found Feb. 11 abandoned on U.S. Highway 49. Sheriff’s department investigator Terry Gann tells WAPT-TV that blood was found in the car.
