CARTHAGE, Mo. (AP) - A Webb City man is facing up to 15 years in prison after admitting that he assaulted a deputy at the Jasper County jail.
Chase A. Milner, 19, pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree assault in a plea deal that limited his sentence to no more than 15 years in prison, The Joplin Globe reported. He will be sentenced June 29.
Milner attacked Deputy Brett Henson on June 5, 2016, after Henson tried to get him to put on a suicide prevention uniform.
A probable cause affidavit said Milner hit Henson, knocking him unconscious, and then hit a second deputy before he was subdued.
Henson was treated for a broken eye socket.
