TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A woman has been arrested after her male roommate was found dead in their apartment in Tucson, police said Sunday.

Officers were dispatched to the scene about 1 a.m. and reported finding a dead man with obvious signs of trauma.

The man’s name was being withheld until his relatives could be notified.

Police said 40-year-old Mishelle Halstead has been booked into the Pima County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder/domestic violence and abandonment or concealment of a dead body.

An employee of the northside Tucson apartment complex told police about receiving complaints of a foul odor coming from the unit for several weeks.

It was unclear Sunday if Halstead has a lawyer yet.
